What's The Crowns Project.
The Crowns Project: Celebrating Men, Inspiring Hope
In ancient times, laurel wreaths crowned victors, symbolizing triumph over adversity. The Crowns Project adopts this symbolism, with the crown representing hope, victory, and perseverance in the face of prostate cancer. It embodies the strength and resilience of those battling this disease and honors their journey.
The Crowns Project captures powerful portraits of Ohio's diverse men wearing various forms of "crowns" – from sports helmets and hard hats to military headwear and religious garments. This unique photography initiative showcases professional athletes, celebrated veterans, dedicated farmers, skilled factory workers, first responders, healthcare professionals, business leaders, artists, and more, all united by their strength and resilience.
